The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued an additional final-result notice dated 4 November 2026 for the recruitment of 80 Assistant Public Prosecutors in the Directorate of Prosecution, Department of Home, Government of NCT of Delhi. The update recommends three additional candidates for appointment after revised age-relaxation certificates were considered.
Why has UPSC issued an additional result?
The original recruitment was advertised under Advertisement No. 02/2021, Vacancy No. 21010211223. In compliance with the Delhi High Court order dated 6 April 2026 in Writ Petition Nos. 1392/2026, 4428/2026 and 4446/2026, the Government of NCT of Delhi supplied revised age-relaxation certificates for five candidates.
UPSC states that all five candidates were found eligible under the applicable calendar-year criteria. Two of them had already been recommended in the earlier final result declared on 21 February 2024. The Commission has now recommended the remaining three candidates for appointment.

Recruitment Test: 19 September 2021.
Interviews: 6 February 2023 to 1 March 2023.
Additional final-result notice: 4 November 2026.
Additional recommendations in this notice: 3 candidates.
Important conditions
The additional result is subject to the outcome of Writ Petition No. 16361/2025 before the Delhi High Court.
UPSC states that marks of interviewed candidates and cut-off marks will be uploaded after completion of the recruitment process or within 30 days, whichever is later.
This is an additional recommendation in the existing 80-post recruitment; it is not a fresh vacancy notification or a new application opportunity.
