The celebration brought together members of the Konidela and Allu families, along with close friends from the Telugu film industry. The couple are scheduled to marry in Hyderabad on December 10, according to reports published after the engagement.

The ceremony took place at the Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort. Sai Durgha Tej’s parents, Dr. Siva Prasad and Vijaya Durga, and his brother, actor Vaishnav Tej, were among those present. Megastar Chiranjeevi and Surekha Konidela attended, as did the actor’s cousins Ram Charan and Allu Arjun, who arrived with their spouses. Varun Tej, Lavanya Tripathi, Naga Babu, Niharika Konidela, Allu Aravind and other relatives were also part of the gathering.
Friends and colleagues from the film industry joined the family celebration, including Manchu Manoj and Bhuma Mounika Reddy, filmmaker Venky Kudumula, actor Navdeep, comedian Harsha Chemudu and producer Harshith Reddy. The guest list reflected the actor’s close ties to the extended Konidela and Allu families, two prominent film families in Telugu cinema.

Ram Charan shared a family photograph from the engagement and congratulated the couple on social media, wishing them a happy life together. The post drew further attention to the private ceremony, with fans and members of the film fraternity adding their own wishes. Sai Durgha Tej is the nephew of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan and a cousin of Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and Varun Tej. He made his acting debut in 2014 with Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham and has since built a career as a Telugu lead actor. His engagement became one of the day’s most prominent Telugu cinema stories, in part because it brought several generations of the extended film family together in one celebration.
Actor’s next film is scheduled for January
On the professional front, Sai Durgha Tej is next set to appear in Sambarala Yeti Gattu, also referred to as SYG. The period action drama is directed by Rohith KP and features Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jagapathi Babu, Meka Srikanth and Ananya Nagalla in key roles. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on January 12, 2027. Its release will mark the actor’s next major screen outing as he enters a new chapter in his personal life.
