Inde Navarrette’s Halloween hosting debut helped Saturday Night Live reach its largest audience of the current season so far. The October 31 episode, with Gracie Abrams as musical guest, drew 5.2 million viewers on NBC in live-plus-same-day figures, according to TheWrap. The result also marked the season’s strongest episode on Peacock, giving the show a multi-platform ratings lift across broadcast, streaming and social video.
The figure reflects viewers who watched the NBC broadcast live or later that same day; it is not a full seven-day total. The episode was also the most-watched SNL installment of the season on Peacock. TheWrap reported that it delivered the service’s biggest audience for the show since March 14, when Harry Styles hosted and performed as musical guest.
A Halloween episode with a broad reach
Navarrette, whose screen credits include Superman & Lois and the horror film Obsession, made her first appearance as SNL host on the Halloween broadcast. Abrams returned as musical guest for her second appearance on the program. TheWrap said the installment also posted the strongest adults 18–49 audience of the season since John Mulaney’s November 2, 2024 episode.
The episode’s online clips extended its reach beyond the live show. As of Tuesday morning, video posted across SNL’s accounts on YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok had accumulated 325 million views, TheWrap reported. Those platform views are a separate measure from NBC’s same-day audience and Peacock’s streaming figures, and should not be added to the television total.
What the ratings signal for the season
A season high does not by itself show why viewers tuned in, and the reported totals cover different viewing windows and platforms. Still, the Halloween episode outpaced the prior broadcast high of 4.6 million viewers, according to Variety, and also led the season on Peacock. The combined response suggests that the episode found audiences both on NBC and through clips circulated after the broadcast.
The results arrive as SNL continues pairing established musical acts with performers whose profiles are rising through television and film. Navarrette’s horror work offered a natural connection to a Halloween episode, while Abrams’ return supplied a music draw for viewers familiar with her previous appearance. The show has not attributed the audience increase to any single segment or guest.
TheWrap reported that Druski and The Strokes were scheduled for the November 7 edition, with John Mulaney due back as host on November 14. Those broadcasts will show whether the Halloween episode’s momentum carries into the coming weeks or stands as a seasonal high point.
Saturday Night Live airs on NBC and streams live on Peacock. The October 31 audience figures reported so far are same-day estimates; later viewing totals may change the final measurement.
