Age limit: 18–27 years as on 15 July 2026, with applicable category-wise relaxation. Departmental candidates may receive relaxation up to 40 years under the conditions in the advertisement.
Essential qualification: A three-year Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or its equivalent, from a recognised university or institution. The one-year relevant experience requirement applies to Diploma holders; the original advertisement specifies the eligible electrical engineering workshop, power generation, transmission, distribution or related regulatory experience.
Selection process and application status
The original advertisement prescribes a one-tier technical computer-based examination of two hours, carrying 200 objective questions for 200 marks. Section A covers general subjects for 100 marks and Section B covers the subject-specific paper for 100 marks. A deduction of 0.25 mark applies for each wrong one-mark MCQ answer under the examination rules in Advertisement No. 03/2026.
The original application window was 16 June 2026 (12 noon) to 15 July 2026 (11:59 PM) and is closed. The 5 October corrigendum does not reopen applications or announce a new deadline. The original application fee was ₹100; women, SC, ST, PwBD and eligible Ex-Servicemen candidates were exempt under the advertisement.
Candidates who applied earlier should monitor the DSSSB website for the examination schedule and subsequent notices. Do not treat the revised vacancy notice as an invitation for fresh applications.
