U.S. Increases Naval Presence in Middle East with Second Aircraft Carrier

The United States is reinforcing its naval presence in the Middle East by extending the deployment of the USS Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group and sending the USS Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group to the region. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has directed the USS Harry S. Truman to continue operations in the Middle East, emphasizing the U.S. commitment to deterrence and force protection in the region.
