An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar two-seater fighter aircraft crashed during a night training mission near Jamnagar, Gujarat, resulting in the death of one pilot and serious injuries to another.

The aircraft took off from the Jamnagar airbase and encountered a technical malfunction shortly thereafter. The pilots attempted to eject to prevent harm to the airfield and local population. Unfortunately, one pilot succumbed to injuries, while the other is receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Jamnagar.
The crash occurred in an open field in Suvarda village, approximately 12 kilometers from Jamnagar city, and the aircraft caught fire upon impact. Local authorities and emergency services responded promptly to the scene.
The IAF has initiated a Court of Inquiry to investigate the cause of the accident. This incident follows a similar crash on March 7, when another IAF Jaguar fighter jet crashed near Ambala, Haryana; in that case, the pilot ejected safely.
